Tonight, Barack Obama will host ten House Democrats who voted against the health care bill in November at the White House; he's obviously trying to persuade them to switch their votes to yes. One of the ten is Jim Matheson of Utah. The White House just sent out a press release announcing that today President Obama nominated Matheson's brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

.....and the hits just keep on coming. Maybe I should call the White House and tell them I would support Obama if they give me some money or a cushy government job......

So in your mind by posting this article, you equate a nomination to buying a vote and leave out the important fact that nominees are confirmed by the Senate...

Al Capone would be proud of the current administration.

I've never heard of this before. Do you mean the our politicians trade votes for pork for their state and campaign contributions from special interest groups. Why haven't we heard about this before. This never happened during any Republican administrations. The Democrats are so corrupt. We need to return to the good old K Street days.

So you think Matheson can be bought? You must not live in Utah.
